I can see how a digital divide problem should be addressed on a global scale because of outsourcing of jobs. this outsourcing of jobs is when a job starts in one country and then they relocate to another country making more cheap in this one country and leaving another country. In the book it reads, ” Some say that to keep jobs in the home country is the best way to keep the economy of that country strong,” (Chayko, 2018). Keeping it in the country helps the economy grow because if you take a good job out of the ecomony it could mean loss of jobs.
I can also see how a digital divide problem should be addressed on a national scale because of how the economy is in those areas. Some areas tend to be less fortunate in the sense that they do not have the money and they can not afford these luxury items like some places do. In the book it reads, ” Nations vary widely in their ability to leverage computerized technologies for increased global competitiveness and to enhance the well-being and prosperity of their citizens,” (Chayko, 2018). This means that the nations that have the ability to afford such luxuries are seen as better places then places that can not afford digital devices.
