Do you think that relationships formed online can be superior to those formed offline in terms of closeness? Is there a point at which an online relationship would have to migrate offline, for you? Discuss.

I do not believe that relationships formed online can be superior to those formed offline in terms of closeness. A relationship formed online is not as personal as one offline. People communicate through a screen constantly and have no face to face contact unless they use a video chat. This can cause “Cat-fishing” or even predators online. You can hide your identity in an online relationship a lot easier then one face-to-face. People online tend to develop these relationships that are often “fantasies” escaping reality. Yes, an online relationship in my opinion should migrate offline. Some people would not care to know the other person on the other end, but I would have to know who I am forming a relationship with and meet them face-to-face. I usually like to move into a more serious relationship where I can develop a closer bond with my significant other. Some people prefer to just stay online dating and never get to know the person on the other side of the computer.
