Do you think the increase in digital spaces (social media platforms, websites, chat areas, discussion boards, online games, work spaces, classes, conferences, hangouts, email and text messages) has brought people closer together and/or encouraged isolation among people? Explain your position.

I believe it all depends on how a person looks at digital spaces. In some ways I believe that it brings people together by connecting with one another on these digital spaces bringing people closer because they have the same interests, (eg. online games). It also has brought people closer together because through Instagram sharing your personal experiences with each other letting these people into your life. I also believe that it encourages isolation because of texting and emailing one another. People use less of their communication skills because of texting and people forget how act in certain situations (eg. texting someone that they are here instead of going up to the door and ringing the doorbell or knocking. It all depends on how a person looks at the situation because it can be a good thing but also a bad thing.
