Yes, digital technologies are an extension of ourselves because everything we post on social media websites are an extension of ourselves and what we think. We only post things that we are in to and have meaning to or we post things that we are against and may comment on it because it is constantly how we feel. In the book it says, “Digital technologies, and social media in particular, are frequently used to create personal expressions of all kinds and to edit and manage these expression as they are communicated to the wider world,” (Chayko, 2018). This is the reason that digital technologies are an extension of ourselves because what we post is everything to do about ourselves and how we feel.
